On February 21, 2020, a group of students of the College of Social Sciences with a course instructor Zhamilya Utarbayeva, visited the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office as part of the “Academic Internship” course.
Sergey Karpov, National Programme Officer for Communications and Information, and Danila Uvarov, Senior Assistant of the Programme, shared information on UNESCO’s activities in the world, in Central Asia and Kazakhstan, about sustainable goals, on ongoing projects and on the rules and job opportunities for young specialists in UNESCO and its projects.
Students had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the UN office in Almaty, where all the UN family agencies located from 2018, as well as make memorable photos on the background of the flags of Kazakhstan and the UN.
