Executive Education Center held an opening ceremony of the New Executive MBA cohort in Almaty – the 14 th English cohort among 32 executive cohorts of KIMEP!

On September 22nd, the Executive Education Center (EEC) officially opened EMBA group E-14. The ceremony was held in the top-notch hall #220 of KIMEP’s renovated Valikhanov Bld.

The new cohort was warmly welcomed by the University’s top-management, the leadership of the Bang College of Business, Executive Education Center’s Oversight Committee members and the heads of administrative departments who professionally support student life of the entire community in KIMEP!

The students of the new cohort come from different business areas and have wide experience in the industry. They were warmly greeted by KIMEP Top-management: Dr. Timothy Barnett, Provost and Prof. Damian Riviez, VPAA, who highlighted the importance of KIMEP’s EMBA as a program which brings together the leaders who learn from each other, gain new ways of approaching complex problems and get self-confidence as leaders who succeed in the complexity and uncertainty of an interdependent global economy.

Dr. Nejat Capar, Dean of Bang College of Business and Ms. Bakytgul Tundikbayeva, EEC Director, extended their heartfelt congratulations on the beginning of the cohort’s academic path which can bring new knowledge and discoveries, as well as new challenges and success.

EEC Oversight Committee members: Dr. Liza Rybina (BCB Graduate Programs Dean), Dr. Mira Nurmakhanova (Chair of Finance and Accounting), Dr. Alma Alpeissova (Chair of Management and Marketing), joined to support the students and to provide them with relevant information about the University and its academic systems.

An important part of the ceremony were professional introductory presentations from heads of KIMEP departments: Ms. Uvassilya Samuratova, KIMEP Registrar, Ms. Yelena Samuilova, Deputy Director of KIMEP Library, and Ms. Aisha Akhmetbayeva, Director of Quality Assurance and Institutional Research office of KIMEP University. The information session covered such areas as a continuous registration process, an overview of university resources, and a discussion on the Student Perception of Instruction Survey among EMBA students.

 

The Ceremony was professionally supported by the MCPR team of KIMEP University, led by the newly appointed MCPR Director Ms. Zhamila Pak, who ensures that each new KIMEP page is professionally announced Country-wide.

 

The evening concluded with a delightful welcome dinner and music.

 

The new cohort has already begun the first EMBA Module this weekend with BCB Finance Professor Dr. Alimshan Faizulaev.
